Cleaning

Substantial resources for a real commitment to cleanliness:

7 days a week, all year round, some 140 staff are deployed throughout the Principality to ensure it is kept perfectly clean. Streets and pavements, car park entrances, planters, beaches and water features, lifts and escalators, underground and technical spaces, tunnels, rainwater drains – every nook and cranny of the city is systematically checked and meticulously cleaned by our cleaners and our « flying » intervention teams. Backed up by state-of-the-art equipment including sprinklers, scrubbers, sweepers, pressure washers, and single-disc machines, and scrapers, our staff work tirelessly to ensure that Monaco always looks its best, beautiful and perfectly maintained.

Our teams can intervene at any time for special cleaning, including after the many events that take place in the Principality (Monaco F1 Grand Prix, Monte-Carlo Yacht Show, Jumping International de Monte-Carlo, Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, to name but a few).

Over the years, the SMA has been cleaning public spaces (those with marble, glass and stainless steel surfaces), car park surrounds, staircases, escalators, lifts, shopping and technical spaces, public signposts, bus shelters, beaches and, recently, bodies of water.

Collection

Around forty staff are involved in our collection operations 7 days a week, two thirds of whom work during the day and one third at night. In order to adapt to the layout of Monaco, the company has acquired a wide range of vehicles (household waste skips, mini-skips, hook lifts) that even allow us access to underground car parks to collect waste. The SMA will gradually acquire electric vehicles to make its fleet cleaner and quieter.

Waste is collected either for local authorities (State of Monaco, Commune of La Turbie) or for private individuals, by means of a bulk goods removal service.

Commercial activity

The Monegasque State is our main client, represented by the Department of Urban Development.

Our key account clients, to which we provide private services, such as the Société des Bains de Mer, the Société Monégasque de l'Electricité et du Gaz, the Automobile Club de Monaco, and other entities to which our staff are assigned on a daily basis for various services.

Events companies, to which we provide waste containers (bins, skips, compactors), additional cleaning staff for various events organised in the Principality.

Finally, restaurant owners and private individuals for whom we provide various services (removal of bulky items, etc...).
