Raising awareness of the need to protect the Mediterranean with AS Monaco.
On 25 August, an exceptional event took place, bringing together a passion for sport and the preservation of our marine environment. The SMA and the AS Monaco training centre organised a field trip to the Larvotto Marine Protected Area (MPA).
The aim of this exchange was twofold: to educate young sportsmen and women about the problem of contamination of natural environments by anthropogenic waste, and to raise their awareness of the need to preserve the Mediterranean. news-august-text-3-2023: The young athletes discovered the quantity and nature of the waste collected at sea by the SMA's nautical resources, demonstrating the consequences that actions can have on the marine environment. They also learned how to categorise this waste, a crucial step in the fight against pollution.
This event was not just about theoretical learning, but also about giving the young sportsmen and women the chance to feel their direct impact on our environment and to become fervent defenders of it.
These young athletes are now ready to be the guardians of our Mediterranean Sea.
Together, we can make a difference to a cleaner, more sustainable future!

DataDestruction: the solution for destroying digital data media for vital services, businesses and private individuals The Monegasque Digital Security Agency (AMSN) has launched a project for the secure, local destruction of digital data media. The aim is to provide a response to the challenges of cybercrime, industrial espionage and confidentiality for operators of vital services, businesses and private individuals. The AMSN is providing half of the required investment. This participation reflects the Prince’s Government's strong commitment to the issue of digital security and, thanks to this mechanism, facilitates access for as many people as possible. SMA has been chosen to operate this service, called DataDestruction. DataDestruction services and guarantees DataDestruction is a service provided entirely on Monegasque territory, using AMSN-approved equipment, by dedicated staff and with guaranteed traceability. It consists of the definitive processing of all digital media by physically destroying USB sticks, SSD cards, hard disks, LTO magnetic tapes and optical disks in accordance with the DIN 66399 standard. The resulting particles, which are completely unusable, are then recycled as Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). The barcodes on the hard drives are scanned and photographed as they enter the process, so that a certificate of destruction can be issued to the customer. In practice, the media are taken to the SMA. Depending on the volumes to be processed, on-site collection can also be offered. The SMA's Sales Department is at your service to help you with this process.
